Giải thích

Dưới đây là phần viết lại câu – Practice 3: So...that / Such...that / ...enough to... với giải thích chi tiết từng câu:


1. He is rich enough to buy whatever he wants.

He is so rich that he can buy whatever he wants.

🔎 Giải thích:

  • “rich enough to do sth” ↔ “so rich that + clause”

  • Dùng “so + adj + that” để nhấn mạnh mức độ.


2. Richard was so tall he could change light bulbs in some rooms without having to stand on a chair.

Richard was tall enough to change light bulbs in some rooms without having to stand on a chair.

🔎 Giải thích:

  • “so + adj + that + S + V” → chuyển sang: “adj + enough + to V”


3. It was such a boring film that we left before the end.

The film was so boring that we left before the end.

🔎 Giải thích:

  • “It was such a(n) + adj + noun” → “The + noun + was so + adj”


4. The question was so difficult that no one could answer it.

It was such a difficult question that no one could answer it.

🔎 Giải thích:

  • “The + noun + was so + adj…” → đổi thành: “It was such a(n) + adj + noun…”


5. She isn't very intelligent so she can't do that exercise.

She isn't intelligent enough to do that exercise.

🔎 Giải thích:

  • “not very adj → not adj enough to V” là cấu trúc thường dùng khi nói đến không đủ khả năng làm gì.
